Kommentarer: Overall the program is extremely user-friendly. It is perfect for what I need it for. I work with a lot of new construction. With builders constantly making changes this program makes it easy to do so.

Fordele:

I like how user-friendly the program is. As well as how support reaches out to assist if needed very quickly.

Ulemper:

Wish the icons in the furniture section were larger or had a preview button before adding them. Also would like to see more choices in the furniture section that are more up to the modern day. More choices for landscaping products such as plants, trees, etc ...

Room Sketcher

Kommentarer: Meh you the best out there that I could find, but you have flaws.

That I can costumize the room to include features that we have in the room such as grab bars.

Ulemper:

That I have to use credits to render a room and something’s will not look correct in the room so then I have fix them because does not look the same on the capture so I am wasting credits.

Intuitive interior decor/design software

Kommentarer: I'm mostly happy with RoomSketcher. I have been able to make good sales with it so far. The customer service is also very efficient.

Fordele:

RoomSketcher is intuitive. Very little technical knowledge is required to navigate through the software. It is user friendly and is relatively inexpensive if you know what you're doing.

Ulemper:

The limited library. Lacks advance lighting features. Roof design is not the easiest to work with.

User Friendly with Most of What’s Needed

Kommentarer: I love the program for its ease of use and ability to bring designs to life. The renderings typically come out phenomenal. I would like to have more CAD like functionality with ability to add dissensions to 2D photos for contractors/ non-client focused images that are still necessary. To be able to import new library content would be an amazing feature. I would never look elsewhere.

Fordele:

Easy to use program with very little training period or trial and error.

Ulemper:

Inability to create 2D images in black & white/line drawings with dimensions. Limited content library. Especially when it comes to lettering/shapes and art.

Good but has limitations

Kommentarer: Good but a little frustrating given limitations mentioned above.

Fordele:

Ease of use and 3D rendering. #60 views are helpful. Walk throughs are also good if a little basic

Ulemper:

- Difficult to get different wall heights in rooms under eaves to work properly when there are different roof angles needed – difficult to save project if wall heights don't align - Can't add skylights to rooms in the eaves of house as there is no facility for windows to match angle of roof so renders always show vertical windows. - Exterior view of property plans don't allow to show a roof structure place - Exterior view doesn't allow you to stack floors to get full exterior view – can't layer for plans to check alignments from floor to floor. - You can't model exterior space like paths or walkways unless they are attached to property wall (like balconies function).

Fantastic product!

Kommentarer: We are able to use our floorplans and photos to send to prospective clients. It is a wonderful tool to allow them to view details about the spaces virtually. They can also experiment with different furniture displays and determine what will fit in a room without physically having to move everything around!

Fordele:

RoomSketcher is a MUST for my business. I use it to make 3D floorplans to showcase apartments, houses, and commercial rental spaces. It is SO easy to use, and there are so many tools that allow you to customize down to minute details. The 3D photos are GORGEOUS and super life-like. You have so many options for angles and fields that allow you to truly capture the feel of a space.

Ulemper:

It would be nice if levels could be shared on one screen in the Live 3D walk-through, so a 2-story house can be viewed in its entirety. The ability to select multiple items at a time to move/copy would be a HUGE improvement. Currently you can only move one item at a time, so if you're trying to move an entire room full of furniture it is quite time consuming to move them one at a time.

RoomSketcher will enhance your customers experince

Kommentarer: Over all I am extremly happy with Room Sketcher I just need to take more time to watch some of the teaching videos they offer.

The cost reasonable, the product was pretty easy to learn. The customer service is outstanding.

Ulemper:

Specifically for our industry we would like to see more outdoor products added. Fire Tables Rectangular, Sqaure and Round. More Outdoor furniture options in Woven, Powder Coated Aluminum and Rope Designs.

Bring Floorplans to Life

Fordele:

Through RoomSketcher's floorplan drafting service, we're able to upload a standard apartment floorplan which their team brings to life in less than 24 hours. We're then able to edit, customize, and fully furnish the 3D design through the app. Other tools required drawing each floor plan from scratch.

Ulemper:

The ability to see 3D proofs of the renderings before using credits to initiate a rendering would be helpful for our internal review process.

I would like to see more furniture choices. Many other programs allow you to pull items from the internet (example: pottery barn) and put those actual pieces into the layout. As an interior decorator, this would be amazing.

Nothing to dislike, we have a vary rare occasion a plan doesn't work.

Great starter software for less demanding room rendering requirements

Fordele:

Easy to learn and draw basic floorplans quickly. It's really easy to switch between 2D and 3D.

Ulemper:

The furniture selects are very limited and not current with U.S. trends. For this reason we do not use this software for most new construction projects. Example: wood textured flooring, bathroom vanity selections - nothing is available that interior designs demand in new construction renderings. Everything is a bit dated or European.

User friendly

You can send your plans in, and within 24 hours you have them in roomsketcher. It was very easy to learn how to use and didn't take a lot of "teaching".

I wish it was a bit easier to visually see the change in fabric colors on furniture pieces. (birds-eye view, not 3D)

the easy way to best results

easy handling even for laypeople, after just a few applications you have enough practice, so that even more complicated applications can be carried out without any problems

there is no point of criticism, all functions can be implemented precisely and there is a wealth of possibilities

Great Software

Kommentarer: I use the software for drawing Residential and Commercial floorplans using my Matterport floorplan screenshots. I find the software easy to use especially now that I've been using the software for a long time. I find I can bust out a floorplan quickly and easily using the shortcut keys which somewhat remind me of playing a PC game like Starcraft 2. I'd recommend the software to anyone looking to do 2d floorplan drawings.

Fordele:

I love the ease of the use of the shortcut keys to rip between functions in the software. The customer support is great which I've used a couple of times. The software isn't overcomplicated

Ulemper:

I sometimes don't like the way the snap function works in regards to walls. However, a lot of this frusteration came from simply not fully understanding how everything works. Now that I've been using the software for some time, I've learned to work within the boundaries of the software and have mostly alleviated this. Unable to make wall thickness less than 2'', which would be helpful for custom drawings.

Make floorplans easy!

I wish you could customize the software so you can save more time. Saving furniture labels is one example.

Great free trial

Kommentarer: Loved it. I was able to plan and visualise a space without paying a cent. If we decide to proceed with the project then I will probably pay for the professional suite.

Fordele:

I was able to download and create a virtual office space in an evening. While options with the free trial are limited, there were more than enough to create the look and feel I was after. The program is highly intuitive and easy to use (although I do use GIS and graphing software packages in my work). The 3D walk through is only available if you pay, but the camera snapshots are a great way to visualize what the space will look like without paying money. $99 for an annual subscription sounds reasonable, and there are also options to go 3D for $20 or get added materials for $20 etc. Intro vidio was helpful.

Ulemper:

The ability to paint a highlight wall would be good - I assumed the professional package would enable that, but another comment suggests this might not be the case. Can be tricky to place things on tables, or in bookshelves, but probably just needs a little more time and energy. It is definitely possible.

Room Sketcher

Kommentarer: RoomSketcher has ben a great way to show off house plans to potential clients.

Fordele:

Software is easy to use and easy to train others in the office to use. The measuring guide lines make planning house sketches a breeze.

Ulemper:

Sometimes its tricky to select certain main lines to move and to write room names in smaller boxes. At times its hard to transfer the saved product into files without the sides being close to the edge of the page or cut off.

Kommentarer: The folks at RS really helped me set up and navigate ways to improve my project. Their customer service is really strong...they know their product and reply quickly with answers and "how to" on any questions I've asked.

Easy to walk through our entire project and the team at Room Sketcher is always helpful in answering my questions! Because of Room Sketcher we can visualize this project from afar and communicate more effectively with our on site team.

Ulemper:

Not always able to move from room to room as easily as I once was, but this may be due to my lack of playing video games! ha
