Nothing yet. Its perfect for Sass. Custom reporting can be difficult to start.

Initially, the learning curve was steep, but as we familiarized ourselves with the system and spent time with the LCS pass and the support team learning the intricacies of the platform, we are able to self-direct most new initiatives on the platform and have better visibility into our project profitability and company performance than we have ever had before.

NetSuite allowed our business to reevaluate process and streamline existing ones, while serving as a single location to house our financial, banking, and CRM data.

Our implementation process was messy, but we got on the right track early and have worked with our ACS optimize team to make the product the best it can be.

Kommentarer: If it were my decision I would move to a more flexible system like Intacct of Blackline. NetSuite has been really challenging at best.

The ability to do everything in one platform.

Ulemper:

Integration is tedious and expensive. It can be very clunky in that its not intuitive and user friendly. It appears the product was created by programmers with not the input of the needs of accountants. Some of the basic statement you would expect to see in any accounting system is not available. You need a full time consultant to be successful which is frustrating.

A Good Transition is driven by an Implementation Team that knows what they are doing.

Kommentarer: The Implementation Team had great expertise guiding us through each step. It shows that they have done this many times and they were able to make us feel comfortable ahead of the transition.

The Transition was incredibly smooth... We made all sorts of contingency plans and we did not have to execute any

Ulemper:

The Education Team was not well synchronized with the implementation team.

Kommentarer: It is doing the job of supporting our business growth, but it needs refinement out of the box and better speed.

Performance. User interface can be slow when scripts and validations are needed. Inventory valuation as well due to volume of data.

Netsuite Rocks!

Kommentarer: I have used Netsuite since about Jan 2025 and have seen a more efficient close process, better processes, and increase in transparency/ability to review.

I like the broad functionality of Netsuite and the ability to see everything in one place, with links to other related transactions.

Ulemper:

The reporting customization is a little bit difficult. It would be nice if Netsuite had standard financial reports that you can drill down on.

Kommentarer: My overall experience with NetSuite so far has been quite interesting as I feel the need to know more about the application. There are functions on the platform that make a lot of the operational workload easier especially when it comes to reports. The application is dynamic and overall great to use for business operations.

Review on NS from an admin perspective

Kommentarer: Overall experience from 4 + years using NS compared to other experience of ERP systems is positive

Customable reporting, easy configurable custom fields and modifying forms for different records

Ulemper:

From an admin perspective, customizing WF is not user friendly and is limited. Which forces us in some cases to use suite scripts to overcome issues. Creating suite scripts requires development knowledge, i.e. Java script and knowledge of Suite Script configuration. Since this is not accessible to all organization inhouse, this requires using a certified 3rd part vendor which is both time consuming and costly.

NetSuite overall review

Oracle NetSuite for Finance Team

Fordele:

I would like to dive straight into the pros as given below: 1- It does allow us to automate almost everything in Netsuite using Scripts and workflow. 2- Easy to set up custom fields based on your tracking requirements. 3- Tax reporting is a lot easier now and if you are in Australia now you can ANZ localization for PTRS reporting. 4- Integrate with most of the systems you for most of the accounting function such as Accounts payable, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Recs, Bank payment files, Sales and purchase orders and tax authorities. We have moved from another software which is used for small companies but since we have moved to Netsuite we are loving it and will keep on using it now.

Ulemper:

I don't think there is anything I don't like about Netsuite as it is very user-friendly and does allow you to integrate with almost everything.

Netuite-A Good ERP System

Kommentarer: Very positive. The price has gotten a little high but overall its a very solid ERP system with very little maintenance needed.

Flexible and has the ability to run an entire firm with little add-ons' needed.

Ulemper:

A bit pricey. I knew that Oracle would raise the price after acquiring NetSuite but the price increases have been manageable.

Kommentarer: So far, everything is going well. Of course except for the signal issues and database access I mentioned above. But overall, my use of the netsuite app really helps us to efficiently communicate with potential customers with ease. And makes us sure everything is logged and well documented

I like that we are able to communicate to our current and potential clients, as well as to our suppliers without hassle. All info, templates and previous conversations are in one placem If another person is going to attend to their concerns, no need for lots of instructions, just need to go through netsuite and everything is there. It also has lots of features that I didn't expect. Especially the trend and reporting analysis, it helps us see how many customers we are serving so we can better manage them. We can also get back to the last task the previous user has worked on. If any problem occurs, rhe customer service is ready to help and is very accommodating.

Ulemper:

I just love the app. Only that i sometimes have poor signal when I'm at an remote area. The problem is that the database cannot be uploaded when theres no signal. So if I needed to go through my tasks or call a customer, I need to go to a place where the signal is good so i can do that.

I miss my QuickBooks Enterprise software.

Kommentarer: I'm a CPA and CFO with over 40 years of experience. I've used many different software products throughout my career, and have led several different software conversions. This has definitely been the worst experience in my career. The English of the whole implementation team was horrible. It was extremely difficult to understand them, and their written communication wasn't much better. The fact that they were located on the other side of the globe also made them relatively inaccessible. Since this was a financial accounting system setup, the biggest insult of all was the fact that no one on the NetSuite team knew anything about American accounting processes. As a result, they were totally worthless when it came to providing any insight into how to setup NetSuite for it to work smoothly for an American service company. This was by far, the WORST software implementation process I have ever gone through.

Fordele:

We're a group of American companies with common ownership, worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and a few hundred employees. We thought this would be the best long-term option for connecting our third-party software needs, and coordinating our multiple companies efficiently. In hind-sight, I think NetSuite is better suited to a multi-national company much larger than us.

Ulemper:

Communication was extremely poor. What is sold vs what is provided is very different. They compartmentalize everything so much, that they bleed you dry for money.

Wonderful journey with Netsuite

The flexibility provides us with every opportunity to review data in clusters, groups or standalone,also the freedom to generate reports and be 100% creative is such a huge add on.

Although I recognize it as pulling a large amount of data,there are times where it can take a substantial amount of time for certain reports to load.

Kommentarer: There is no such thing as a "perfect" reporting software/package/tool. Overall, Netsuite has several advantages and relatively user friendly. I have helped many clients implement Netsuite as their main reporting & management tool, and overall, they are all quite satisfied.

Fordele:

Once you learn the ins & outs and caveats with netsuite, you can create just about any kind of operational, management, and finance report, with lots of options for data distribution and visualization. Once you know how it works, it's an excellent tool. It has many data retrieval options as well. So, if you're an excel based organization - it can pull the data directly into excel. Very logical to use and strait forward.

Ulemper:

It has its quirks just like any other reporting system. Takes a LOT of learning to get up and going as an admin, but basic users won't have much problem. I suppose it could be more user friendly.

Netsuite is best ERP for S&M market

Kommentarer: What all that experience was pretty good I was part of the implementation to suffer was very very complete. It has all the different reports. We also had the analytic software and it does what it's supposed to do.

What I most liked about Netsuite, is that it is a very robust software and it gives you the assurance that you are working in a suffered that has the complete and verifiable information

Ulemper:

I think it is very expensive, and perhaps there should be threshold, and what type of companies should buy this software, because it is not for every company, company can go bankrupt buying this software if It doesn't have enough contribution margin to pay for it.
